EXAMPLES OF ADAPTIVE MODULE VARIATIONS FOR ADAPTABLE BUILDING SHELL DESIGN

Aim: The aim of the research is to obtain numerical data by examining types adaptation, adaptation components, and pattern knowledge based on widely known building examples worldwide that have been frequently studied in literature relation buildings designed with adaptive envelopes. Through obtained data, analyze which parameters are preferred more while designing an module. Method: Adaptation type, component, method were examined tracing samples. statistically evaluated regression analysis method, percentages found compared. Results: As type modules structures study, 70% be mobile 30% fixed. usage rates components projects facade, shell, facade + shell structure shell. It has observed most common geometric traditional patterns used among patterns. Conclusion: When methods examined, it was determined features being sensitive solar movement, having light level control, able control shading indoor spaces, contributing passive systems, adaptable climate. preference for these criteria varies according conditions.
